Friday
7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

In compliance with Governor Inslee’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy Proclamation, building inspections can only be performed for very specific situations listed HERE. Those situations include:
-Construction on public and government facilities, including publicly financed low-income housing.
-Construction to prevent spoliation and avoid damage or unsafe conditions, and to address emergency repairs.
-Construction related to “essential activities” (such as grocery stores, pharmacies, food manufacturing, etc.)
-Certificates of Occupancy on new homes to prevent a family from becoming homeless while waiting to move in.

Residential inspections can only be performed if one of the following questions can be answered with a “yes”:
**Is the structure at risk of damage if the construction doesn’t take place now?
**Is the health/safety of the residents at risk if the construction doesn’t take place now?
**Is this a final inspection on a newly-built home in order to issue a Certificate of Occupancy to prevent the displacement of the owners?

Staff is working from home and will continue to intake and process permits, but will only issue those meeting the above criteria until the Stay Home, Stay Healthy proclamation has been lifted or modified. Please call or email with any questions.
