2020 Road Stabilization

IMPORTANT:  All Contractors must be registered on Columbia County Public Works’ Small Works Roster, current for 2020, to quote this work.

Sealed quotes for the improvements of:  2020 Road Stabilization will be received by the Columbia County Public Works Office at P.O. Box 5, 415 N. Guernsey Ave., Dayton, Washington 99328, until 1:00 pm on Friday, April 17, 2020.  Quotes delivered in person will be received only at the reception desk of said office.

There will be no public opening of the Quotes.  Tabulated quotes will be made public on Columbia County’s website at time of award.

All quotes shall be accompanied by a proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the quote.  Should the awarded Contractor fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the quote’s proposal deposit shall be forfeited to Columbia County.

Maps, plans and specifications may be obtained electronically from:  

Columbia County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit quotes in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.

The improvement for which quotes will be received is described below:

This contract provides for the supply and application of Road Surface Stabilization Materials for 2020.  Columbia County anticipates the application of road stabilization materials to approximately 456,000 square yards of County gravel roads and the Columbia County Public Works facility’s lot.  Columbia County will be responsible for all surface preparation and traffic control.
